Last night I was wondering the fields around my home. The long days are wonderful, the evening light is magical and cloud gazing quite spectacular. Shetland is a four seasons in one day kind of place. Yesterday it was raining, sunny, overcast, golden, grey, blue, pink...I find the ever changing weather and colours fascinating.
If you do visit - it's essential to be Shetland weather prepared: pack sun cream, waterproofs and the spirit of adventure! If you want to sunbathe, shop until you drop and frequent chic bars - it might be worth thinking about an alternative destination!
Shetland is unique, I've never lived or visited anywhere quite like it. If you're looking for a holiday with a difference - this is the place to visit, and maybe you'll become as obsessed as I am and decide to stay!
